The purpose of this course is to learn and to apply effective strength training principles and methods for parkour and for movement in general. The course covers both bodyweight and weighted training concepts, identifying how to develop strength, power and endurance for parkour and how to coach these concepts with individuals or groups.
The Strength & Conditioning for Parkour Course teaches participants to:
Introduce and identify core principles of strength and conditioning.
Understand the holistic nature of movement and what this means for Strength & Conditioning.
Identify and teach some fundamental bodyweight exercises for physical conditioning in parkour.
Understand weighted training principles and how to scale exercises for differing abilities.
Apply these methods safely and effectively to build better movement athletes and prevent injury
Already attended a Level 1 Assistant Coach Certificate Course.
