Regular movement can help boost energy, maintain independence and reduce symptoms of illness and pain. Movement practice can even reverse some of the symptoms of ageing.
Not only is movement good for the body, it's also good for the mind, mood and memory. Movement has been proven to be the most therapeutic activity of all when it comes to staving off the mental and physical ravages of old age.
In this course you will learn how to implement parkour based activities for the active as well as inactive aged population, understanding how to develop and maintain the vital lifelong movement skills that will keep people safe, healthy and young.
You will learn:
- how to differentiate between active aged and inactive aged populations
- how to coach fall prevention techniques
- functional mobility, fitness and aerobic capacity for over 60's
- strength training to prevent age related injury
This course last 6 hours.
- 16 years of age or over
- A.D.A.P.T. Level 1 Coach Certified
If you cannot meet the prerequisite requirements at the time of the course, you must present evidence of having done so within 12 months of the end of your course in order to receive your certification.
