The Parkour for Older People CPD focuses on the health and well being for later life. As people grow older an active lifestyle is more important than ever. Regular movement can help boost energy, maintain independence and reduce symptoms of illness and pain. Movement practice can even reverse some of the symptoms of ageing. Not only is movement good for the body, it's also good for the mind, mood and memory. Movement has been proven to be the most therapeutic activity of all whit comes staving off the mental and physical ravages of old age.
In this course you will learn how to implement parkour based activities for those over the age of 60, understanding how to develop and maintain the vital lifelong movement skills that will keep people safe, healthy and young. You will cover how to coach fall prevention techniques, functional mobility, fitness and aerobic capacity for over 60's, plus strength training to prevent age related injury.
The course lasts just one day, starting at 09:00 and finishing at 18:00. - A.D.A.P.T. Level 1 Coach Certified
If you cannot meet the prerequisite requirements at the time of the course, you must present evidence of having done so within 12 months of the end of your course in order to receive your certification.
