The Affordances for Movement CPD focuses on understanding that parkour is far more than a collection of individual techniques: it is an applied concept of movement and of understanding the relationship between the individual's movement capacities and the environment they are moving in.
This is known as the 'affordances for movement' provided by the environment, and it lies at the heart of all parkour training. The best coaches know how to utilise the environment optimally for the benefit of learners, whether indoors or outdoors, urban or rural.
