CPD: Low Impact Parkour - Coming Soon

Regular price £150.00 GBP

The Low Impact Parkour CPD focuses on coaching movement for those who are either in later life or are recovering from injury or are simply significantly detrained.

As people grow older an active lifestyle is more important than ever. Regular movement can help boost energy, maintain independence and reduce symptoms of illness and pain. Movement practice can even reverse some of the symptoms of ageing. Further, movement practice can keep people active while recovering from injuries and help to rebuild a strong, resilient body and prevent future injuries.

Not only is movement good for the body, it's also good for the mind, mood and memory. Movement has been proven to be the most therapeutic activity of all when it comes to staving off the mental and physical ravages of old age.

In this course you will learn how to implement parkour based activities for the active as well as inactive aged population, understanding how to develop and maintain the vital lifelong movement skills that will keep people safe, healthy and young. You will cover how to coach fall prevention and mitigation techniques, functional mobility, fitness and aerobic capacity for over 60's, plus strength training to prevent age related injury.

This is a 4-8 hours course, including lunch and breaks.

You will learn:

- how to differentiate between active aged and inactive aged populations

- how to coach fall prevention and mitigation techniques

- functional mobility, fitness and aerobic capacity for older people

- strength training to prevent age related injury

- how to adapt parkour practice to avoid impact and help rehab injuries

This course last 6 hours and will run from 10:00 to 17:00 with a lunch break.
