Low Impact Parkour CPD
6-hour course · 10:00–17:00 · 7th February 2027
Course Location: Monkey Park, Parque Los Silos, Quinta Normal, Santiago, Chile
Movement for every stage of life
The Low Impact Parkour CPD focuses on coaching movement for those in later life, recovering from injury, or significantly detrained.
As we age, an active lifestyle matters more than ever. Regular movement boosts energy, maintains independence and reduces symptoms of illness and pain, and can even reverse some of the physical effects of ageing. It's just as valuable during recovery, helping rebuild a strong, resilient body and preventing future injury.
Movement isn't only good for the body. It's proven to be one of the most therapeutic activities for mind, mood and memory, helping stave off both the mental and physical toll of ageing.
What you'll learn
This course teaches you how to implement parkour-based activities for both active and inactive older populations, developing and maintaining the lifelong movement skills that keep people safe, healthy and young. You'll cover:
- How to differentiate between active aged and inactive aged populations
- Coaching fall prevention and mitigation techniques
- Functional mobility, fitness and aerobic capacity for older people
- Strength training to prevent age-related injury
- How to adapt parkour practice to avoid impact and support injury rehab
