Location: Monkey Park, Parque Los Silos, Quinta Normal, Santiago, Chile

Redefine what strength means

In a holistic discipline like parkour, a strong individual isn't simply the one who can lift, pull or push the most. For movement athletes, relative strength matters more than absolute strength: we're not measuring ourselves against others by how much weight we can move, we're interested in moving our own bodies efficiently, effectively and purposefully, for as long as possible.

Chasing absolute strength alone can work against movement quality and capacity, and may expose practitioners to a higher risk of injury through muscular imbalance.

A truly strong individual is one who can meet a diversity of challenges and come out the other side not just unscathed but improved. That's an adaptive individual: someone who embraces adversity as a positive stressor for growth. The wider the range of challenges you can handle, the stronger you are, and that includes psychological strength and emotional resilience alongside physical capacity.

What you'll learn

This CPD course covers both bodyweight and weighted training concepts, showing you how to build strength, power and endurance for parkour, and how to coach these concepts to individuals and groups. You'll leave able to apply effective strength training principles to parkour and movement in general.
