ADAPT Level 2 Coach Certification
The world's leading parkour coach certification. Setting the standard since 2008.
The Level 2 is not just an education course, it's a formative process that will shape, sharpen and strengthen your entire coaching approach.
Over five intensive days, you will be challenged on the science of how people learn, how movement expertise is actually built, and what it means to coach with both rigour and integrity. This is the course that separates working coaches from exceptional ones.
What You'll Cover
The Level 2 goes beyond technique and into the foundations of coaching itself: how to structure learning, how to read movement, how to build environments that make progress inevitable.
Day 1: The Coach's Foundation
Welcome and orientation. Movement practice. A philosophy of coaching. The science of expertise and deliberate practice. Coaching a movement continuum. Building confidence in parkour practice.
Day 2: Mechanics and Method
Breaking jumps in practice. Using fear as a tool for unlocking movement. Pedagogical models of coaching. Anatomy, physiology and redefining fitness for parkour. Biomechanics coaching. The basics of programming for movement.
Day 3: Teaching in Practice
Thematic coaching. Activity design for coaches. Micro-teach scenario practice.
Day 4: Communication and Athlete Care
Affordances for movement and the nature of parkour. Communication and cueing for coaches. Micro-teach practice. Prehab and rehab for parkour.
Day 5: Putting It Together
Avoiding the dangers of coaching. Group coaching and supervising assistants. Coaching the values of parkour. Self-programming for assessments. Action plans, reflective coaching, and assessment preparation. Final group challenge.
The Certification Process
The Level 2 is a two-phase certification.
Phase 1: The Training Course (5 days, 09:00 to 18:00 daily)
The intensive training experience. All candidates receive a Learner Pack, the ADAPT Coaching Resource Book, Assessment Materials, and Reflective Hours Log-Sheets.
Phase 2: Assessments (2 days, booked separately)
Assessments take place between 3 months and 2 years after your course. This window is intentional: you need time to absorb the material, act on your tutor's feedback, and build real coaching experience before you sit for assessment.
Before your Assessment phase, you must complete 40 reflective coaching sessions and bring documented evidence to your assessment.
Assessments are booked and paid for separately via this site, when you are ready.
Entry Requirements
Before booking, confirm you meet all of the following:
- Aged 18 or over
- Current First Aid certification (or recognised equivalent)
- ADAPT Level 1 Coach Certified
- Able to communicate effectively in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)
If you cannot meet these requirements at the time of the course, you have 18 months from the end of the course to provide evidence before assessment information is released to you.
Strongly recommended: at least 3 to 5 years of parkour training experience and 1 to 2 years of assistant coaching experience. You will be asked to demonstrate practical parkour competency and to work through live coaching scenarios throughout the course.
After You Book
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive full course details including the venue address and your tutor's contact information.
Assessments are a separate booking. See the Assessments page for dates and pricing.
