Young ADAPT

Young ADAPT is a movement development programme for young people aged 7–15 with a serious interest in parkour. It is not a coaching certification — it is something equally important: a structured introduction to the discipline that develops physical capability, independent thinking, and the habits of self-evaluation that define every great practitioner and coach.

What it is

The programme is built around seven progressive levels of movement achievement. Each level centres on a set of physical challenges that participants work towards at their own pace, guided but not directed — learning to assess where they are honestly, set goals deliberately, and build capability through consistent effort.

Theory sessions, kept short and practical throughout, run alongside the movement work. Together they develop the foundations of movement understanding that Young ADAPT graduates carry with them into adult training and, for many, into the certification pathway.

How it works

Young ADAPT runs as a series of one-day events across the year, each lasting approximately four hours. Participants can attend as many events as they choose — and we strongly recommend attending across multiple terms rather than treating it as a single event. The programme compounds. The young people who get the most from it are the ones who return.

Each event is a self-contained experience. Progress is carried across sessions as participants continue developing toward their personal level goals between events.

What to expect on the day

Practical movement sessions form the majority of the day. Participants are guided through self-assessment at the start, work toward movement goals throughout, and leave with clear targets for their own training between sessions. Tutors work with participants individually and in small groups — the standard is high, the atmosphere is supportive.

After booking you will receive confirmation including the exact venue address, start time, and contact details for your host and Tutors. If you need this information before booking, use the Ask a Question link below.

Who it's for

Young ADAPT is open to any young person aged 15 and under. No prior parkour experience is required — our Tutors work with all ability levels. That said, young people with at least a month of regular parkour training will find they can engage more fully with the programme from the outset.

There are no other prerequisites. Show up ready to move and to think.

Why it matters

Parkour teaches young people things that most physical education never touches: honest self-assessment, patience with difficulty, the discipline to pursue a skill that doesn't yield to shortcuts, and the confidence that comes from genuine physical accomplishment. Young ADAPT is designed to give that experience to the next generation of practitioners — and, for those who want it, to lay the foundation for the ADAPT certification pathway that follows.
